Education is more important than grades. Nowadays, parents are spending more time on considering which school to choose for their children for their secondary level. Singaporeans think that grades are everything in education. Parents should pick schools for their children based on potential and interests. Some parents have been known to seek out schools which are good in school activities like in a particular sport or a performing arts. They have put strong focus on community projects. Thus, some parents should change their mindset about grades being the most important thing.
To me, the learning progress and the education is the most serious part of the whole education journey. Grades are just the result you produced after the hardwork. Picking secondary schools for the children are just another learning checkpoint. Every school is a good school. Thus, parents should not just aim those schools with high aggregate scores. This will put their children in pressure.
