Summary:
Since CFCs were phased out, new chemicals that can replace it were discovered. CFCs destroy the ozone layer. The new chemicals, HFC is a greenhouse gas that traps heat and HCFC also damages the ozone layer but not as greatly as CFC. The Environmental Protection Agency aims to reduce the use of HFC and phase out HCFC.

Opinion:
In my opinion, I believe that we can contribute to help environmental destruction from these gases by taking some common measures such as switching off the air-conditioner when not in use or swap air- conditioners with fans. To prevent these chemicals to go into the atmosphere, we can check our household appliances regularly and report any leakage.
