Thailand protest leader calls for general strike

Summary:
On Sunday, the eighth day of protests aimed unseating PM Yingluck Shinawatra had caused four people to die. The protesters fired water cannon and tear gas as security forces clashed in. They say Ms Yingluck's administration is controlled by her brother, exiled ex-leader Thaksin Shinawatra, and they want to replace it with a "People's Council". The protesters all gathered at about eight sites, including Government House, television stations and the police headquarters.Ms Yingluck had intended to give media interviews on Sunday at a Bangkok police complex but was forced to evacuate when protesters tried to break in. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Opinion:
I feel that the protesters firing water cannons and tear gas are too much. They could even gather at eight sites to discuss. I think that the protesters could just ask for a gathering discussion with Ms Yingluck to talk about their situations instead of protesting like this.
