Summary:
The Netherlands exports a lot of agricultural products and the farm animals there are densely packed, causing the animals vulnerable to diseases. The number of farm animals is also increasing steadily. Recently, a strain of contagious bird flu virus had been detected, causing the Netherlands to slaughter countless of farm animals to contain the virus. As a result, the Netherlands have to lock down all poultry transport, losing untold amounts of money.

Opinion:
In my opinion, I believe that bigger farm houses can be built to decease the density so as to reduce the risk of diseases. Farmers must also keep an eye on the farm animals especially during the flu season so that they will not get the bird or swine flu. The farms must also be regularly cleaned to further decrease the risk of diseases among animals.
